i dont think its as cut and dry as that to say music is universal, because how you percieve music has a lot to do with how your ear is conditioned, so someone from? a different place may not in fact enjoy the same music if their ear has been trained to be accustomed to different sounds. i think ppl from the western hemisphere are not used to the quarter tones in indian music, and there are other examples. you can learn to like stuff of course tho
