While in the Canary Islands singing and working on the bill with Dex, I
wrote lyrics to The Panther while he played it for me and I taped it.
Showed him the lyrics the next day and he dug. Man Named Eldridge Cleaver,
Revolution Fever, He wrote a book called Soul on Ice, Read it and heed it,
    it’ll open up your eyes.
It is copyrighted. Dexter was a great musician and a fun person. He
really lived life. He played so beautifully and knew all the lyrics to the
    tunes he played.?

Thanks for the upload; I first sampled Dexter at the free library in
Vineland, NJ, back in the late 70’s, as I sampled many of the jazz greats
for the first time; thanks for free libraries. I was probably one of only
a hand full of residents at the time who even checked out LP’s, as most
were in flawless shape, anyway, I was in awe of the brilliant skills of
these gifted artist, and have been a loyal listener, as well as consumer
    since that time…?

what a player that we’ll always fondly remember him as…and always, the
    timings are greatly appreciated…Thank You!….?
