In Classical if you play the song and get lost in general you can just jump back in or tell from the tune of the song. In Jazz since the solos more often aren’t exactly written if say you were to lose place of where you were in a jazz song how would you jump right back in? Especially since many jazz songs repeat sections so how would you know which section your on in the case you lose track of where you are.
Every time I search for the music like Youtube or something I just find rock but I know they had some really good jazz tracks on there.
i am looking for free jazz tracks without drums. i want to sample some free jazz brass instruments something like Ornette Coleman
any idea where to find?
I’m a beginner jazz guitarist and I can’t seem to find anything about this online, thanks!
A co-worker told me that the thing that’s so great about Jazz is that they play with 12 notes instead of an 8 note scale. So, a werbsite or youtube video lesson would be cool.
