Is there an online central music catalog to assist in finding Jazz music I once played?

I’m trying to track down a few favorite jazz pieces I played in high school about 20 years ago. I know titles, but not exact publishing dates or composer. A general Yahoo or google search produces poor results. Is there an online database I might access that would at least help me narrow down a search, if not provide the specific information I’m looking for?

  1. goodsounds says:

    http://www.allmusic.com has “everything”.
If you do not find it there, play, sing or whistle it at
    http://www.watzatsong.com
    and someone might recognise it.
