I have been playing and learning guitar for several years. From early on I realized that holding a pick was a problem because within a short period of time it would begin to slide out from between my fingers. After trying a variety of picks, punching holes in picks etc. I settled on using two-sided tape as the best option. I recently tried Gorilla Snot and am very impressed with the grip it provides on the pick, very sticky, as well as the length of time it remains so. After a few tries one gets to know just how much to use, very little, in my case. I would recommend this item to anyone having a similar problem gripping a guitar pick.

This stuff really makes your fingers and picks sticky, thus it does help you hold onto the pick. The trouble is that the snot gets on the guitar strings too, via the pick and your fingers, which creates drag between the pick and the strings. Pretty soon, you have it on your guitar and everything you touch. I used it once and that was all. I won’t buy anymore and I won’t recommend it.
