Okay I have been a hard rock / heavy blues drummer since age nine in case you want qualification. I have had a Gibraltar rack now for maybe seven or eight years now (Anniversary gift from my babe). I have so much stuff attached to this rack from cymbals, Octobons, Roto-toms, cowbell, etc. etc. I have never ever had any problems with mobility. If you want to move your rack with everything attached to it then be stupid and go ahead. Otherwise, the way it’s supposed to be is to take the cymbals and whatever else off, not the stands/attaching hardware, just the main pieces. You can then move it all day long. As far as quality, I have quite a few drummer friends with more expensive racks who swear they want mine — because its not a bank buster. I have never ever had anything break on it unless I broke it from being a gorilla, i.e. over tightening a nut until the bolt snapped. I have to it’s the best investment I have (okay, my wife) has ever put into this kit. The space saving alone is superb. The amount of stuff you can put on it is amazing. You will run out of playing space before you will ever run out of available rack space, I think you know what I mean by that. The real beauty is in the flexibility a rack offers and the mobility. If I tore my set down and set it up again for each gig without this rack, I am talking three or more hours, not to mention the minor adjusting and setting things in just the right spot. Not even close to a rack. I can come in with the rack ready to go in less than five minutes and then attach everything to it, already in perfect position in less than an hour. And trust me I have a tone of drums on it. Ten Octabons, one set of three Roto’s, four Toms, six cymbals, one cowbell, and one LP Bar Chime, I think that’s it. As you can tell. it would take a lot of time to set this up if I had to break down stands and then set them all back up again. Take my word for this, Gibraltar makes heavy duty shit, and I will never own any other brand. I have gigged on the road for many a years and this, or any rack, is a huge time-saver. And, in my opinion, you will not be disappointed in anything Gibraltar makes. From racks, clamps, and rack tuning, i.e. those little memory rings that allow for the rack to setup exactly the same every time, these racks are top notch and extremely reliable and durable. If you read a bad review, it’s either from somebody that has no clue how to really use them, or they are a mole from another company. I give Gibraltar Racks five stars in every possible category.

I saw that the other reviewer wrote a bad review for this rack. Honestly, for 300$, this is the best rack out there.
It was easy to set up and take apart. I did not have any clamps break or anything. Everything fit the rack great. I would HIGHLY recommend this product. I have about 15 cymbals, so buying an expensive rack from pearl or tama did not fit my budget.

Very low quality product, but still gets the job done. Not very portable, if you’re planning on using this to be able to move your drumset and cymbals easily from one show to another do NOT buy it. It saves space, nothing more. Brackets brake easily, metal pinches, and 99% of the memory locks do not even fit the product, and there is no way to adjust it. Item will arrive in a ripped up and dusty box, with pieces falling out. This product goes a cheap price, because it is cheap. If you’re looking for a quality product take your business elsewhere.
