I am looking for some jazz songs that are in the public domain (ie published before 1923) and would be the type of thing played in a fancy restaurant in the background. Classy Jazz, tinkly piano possibly.
Not something you would have heard in a nightclub, but more country fair types of bluesy-jazz. To accompany an art exhibit on trains and train stations in the early 20th century.
Or really any type of jazz, as long as its instrumental and insanely good.
People/ Groups I’ve already listened to:

I want to play in a indie rock band as a lead guitarist and i’ve hit a wall in my learning. A guitarist told me that i should learn guitar from its roots, as in classical and that will help me in all aspects of rock but ive also heard that jazz guitar is better for being improvisational. Which style of guitar should i learn to play?
How was Jazz percieved during the Jazz Age? What were the african americans feelings when they played jazz? I need 1 word that summarizes what Jazz conveys during those ages.
